Electrochemical and transport properties of nickel hexacyanoferrate (KNi [Fe(CN)6]) as potential cathode material for aqueous potassium-ion batteries
Abstract
Electronic transport properties of the material can give insight into the inherent charge transport mechanism in the material. Here, we report the transport properties and electrochemical performance of potassium-based nickel hexacyanoferrate (KNiHCF) Prussian Blue Analogue (PBA) synthesized via sonochemical assisted coprecipitation method. The transport properties of the compound were studied from 1 Hz to 10 MHz over 223 K to 423 K. The compound exhibited a specific capacity of 88.5 mAh/g at a current density of 2 A/g, making it a good candidate for potassium-ion batteries.
