Abstract

Die Xenon-Abtrennung von Krypton durch poröse Adsorbentien ist eine nachhaltige Technologie für die Produktion von kleinvolumigem, aber hochwertigem Edelgas. MOFs sind Adsorbentien, deren Trennleistung durch Abstimmung von Porenmetriken, Funktionalitäten und Gegenionen optimiert werden können. Yue-Biao Zhang, Omar M. Yaghi und Mitarbeiter beschreiben in ihrer Zuschrift auf S. 3459 eine neue Methode zur postsynthetischen Metallisierung von MOFs, bei der zusätzliche Metallionen und Gegenionen eingeführt werden, um die Adsorptionsselektivität und Aufnahmekapazität zu erhöhen.
