Abstract

Spanish Abstract: El programa SWMM desarrollado por la EPA se ha convertido en una referencia a nivel mundial para el cálculo de las redes de evacuación tanto de aguas pluviales como residuales. La posibilidad de insertarlo en rutinas de optimización tanto para diseño como para control de inundaciones se ha visto favorecida tanto por la interconexión proporcionada por la propia EPA como por el Toolkit desarrollado desde la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. Sin embargo, cuando se trata de reducir el impacto de las inundaciones mediante la utilización de tanques de tormenta distribuidos por la red, el resultado puede verse condicionado por la modelación inicial realizada de la red. Las diferencias en el tratamiento de la ecuación de continuidad en nudos parcialmente inundados es el motivo de este hecho.
