Get Free AccessBiMnO3−δ compositions differing in oxygen stoichiometry have been synthesized under high pressure. Orthorhombic BiMnO2.99 and monoclinic BiMnO2.84 exhibit canted antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism respectively. BiMnO2.94 and BiMnO2.89 are also monoclinic and show ferromagnetism, but it seems possible that they may contain domains of more than one phase.
