Estimated time: ≈ 10 minutesOpen the app

Before you start

  • A valid email address
  • (Optional) an ORCID iD — to pull publications automatically
  • A profile photo and a short bio

Steps

  1. 1

Create an account and verify your email

Click 'Get started' on the Network sign-in screen and register. Click the verification link in your inbox — unverified accounts cannot publish content.

  2. 2

    Fill in your profile

Add your name, title, institution, field and a short bio. Upload a profile photo; this information shows up on search and discovery pages.

  3. 3

    Connect your ORCID iD

Enter your ORCID iD in profile settings. The system periodically syncs your publications and citations so you don't have to update the list by hand.

Tip: Connecting ORCID also feeds the suggestion engine: it surfaces potential co-authors and related work.
  4. 4

    Add publications and preprints

Import your publications via DOI or add them manually. Upload preprints to use open peer review and version history.

  5. 5

    Build and publish your CV

Go to the CV Builder and fill in education, experience and publication sections. Export to PDF in one click or share your public CV link.

  6. 6

    Build your network and explore

Follow researchers, join discussions and groups and track the events calendar. Notifications and 1-to-1 messaging are real-time.

You're all set! 🎉
